What’s the difference between PRP and PRF?

Both are prepared from a small sample of your own blood and contain platelets, which release growth factors involved in the body’s repair processes. They differ in how they are prepared and how the platelets are held.

PRP

Platelet-rich plasma

A concentrated platelet-rich liquid, usually prepared with an anticoagulant to keep it fluid. It is used in selected scalp treatments and microneedling facials.

PRF

Platelet-rich fibrin

Typically prepared without an added anticoagulant. Its natural fibrin network can hold platelets and allow a more gradual release of growth factors; injectable PRF is used while still liquid.

Which should I choose?

The choice depends on the treatment area, your goals and the preparation used. PRF is not automatically better than PRP. Our Premium Scalp PRP + PRF option brings both preparations into one treatment plan; your consultation explains the approach and realistic expectations.
